About Casa Nova

Welcome to Casa Nova!

In 2010 I went on a long pilgrimage to Jerusalem, where I stayed for a few nights at Casa Nova, a Franciscan house for pilgrims in the Christian Quarter of the Old City.

This blog is named after that pilgrim house. It’s a place of hospitality for fellow pilgrims, those who feel themselves on a spiritual journey. It’s a distinctively Catholic space in a Christian neighborhood, but it’s open to everyone of goodwill. And finally, it’s situated near the sacred. If you’re staying here, it ought to be easy for you to find something nearby that’s holy, that provokes a sense of wonder, that engages your whole being.

Currently I’m mostly writing and sharing about my process of becoming Catholic after many years traveling through Protestant churches. But I won’t limit myself to that subject alone, at least, not for long.

I hope you’ll click around. Stay as long as you like.
